Just recently on 27 July, the Baby Steps update appeared on the App store for me! Let's see what are the features in this update.
- Babies are able to crawl! They have been redesigned and we are able to change their hair colour!
- You can now carry your infant sims too!
NEW OPTIONS FOR BABIES
- When your sim is carrying the baby they can:
Bed: Quick Bouncies/Bounce Marathon
Bath: Bathe Infant/Bath Time Fun
Sofa: Sit with Infant/Relax with Infant
- Click on sim options:
Let infant crawl - 3 seconds (you can control the baby when clicking on it)
Change diaper - 8 seconds
Give food - 9 seconds
Practice walking - 12 minutes
- Click on crawling baby sim option:
Sofa: Practice Balancing/Exercising Legs
- You can put the baby back into the crib:
Click on the baby and press 'put infant in crib'
Another option: Calm to sleep

The Sims Freeplay - Hobbies - Cooking
Hello and today we are going to talk about the Cooking hobby!
Who can be a chef?
Teens, Adults & Seniors
Where can you cook?
In any house or in the restaurant
How do you get your sims to cook?
Tap on a stove in any house or in the restaurant
How do you unlock the cooking hobby?
By finishing the Bread Winner quest
What are the cooking options and at what hobby levels do you unlock them?
- Cheese and Tomato on Toast- 1 minute (needs 1 star toaster)
- Bacon and Eggs- 5 minutes
- Level 2- Burgers- 20 minutes (needs 1 star toaster)
- Level 2- Pizza- 40 minutes (needs 1 star microwave)
- Level 3- Chili Con Carne- 1 hour (needs 2 star microwave)
- Level 3- Spaghetti- 2 hours (needs a 1 star chopping board)
- Level 4- Quiche- 3 hours (needs a 2 star stove)
- Level 4- Nachos- 5 hours (needs a 1 star chopping board)
- Level 5- Spicy Tuna Rolls- 8 hours
- Level 5- Chicken Salad- 2 hours
- Level 6- Tacos- 12 hours
- Level 6- Roast Beef- 1 Day
- Complete restaurant to unlock- Lobster Thermidor- 5 hours- costs lps
What are the cooking collectibles to collect?
Level 1 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Spatula
Level 2 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Grater
Level 3 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Chefs Knife
Level 4 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Whisk
Level 5 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Rolling Pin
Level 6 - Bronzed/Silver/Gold Measuring Spoons
The first time you finish the hobby, you unlock chopping boards to unlock new recipes. Further times you receive 5 Lps which is a very good way to earn lps! I will talk about this in another post.
Is there a time limit for this hobby?
No.
What if I can't find a collectible?
You can use the spin to get collectibles but you might not get them and they cost Lps so do not use that very often.
I want to do the hobby a second time, how do I do it?
You can click 'start a new collection at the top of the list.

The Sims Freeplay - #1 Tutorial Quest
Tutorial Quest - Prize: none - Time limit: none
Welcome to Sims Freeplay Simmers Blog and today we start with a quest (goals, maybe), the tutorial quest when you start the game! So let's start now!
1) Click on the green house icon
After clicking it opens the Create-A-Sim menu then you have to create your first sim.
2) Buy a toilet
3) Use the toilet - 7 seconds
4) Wash hands in a sink - 7 seconds
5) Add flooring
6) Add wallpaper
7) Buy a lamp
8) Move an object
9) Browse clothes in a wardrobe
10) Buy a garden patch
11) Grow some bell peppers - 30 seconds
12) Check your mailbox
13) Collect revenue on the town map
14) Build a workplace (fire station)
15) Get a sim at a job at a fire station
16) Add a new sim (you have to build a house)
17) Inspire a sim by using a cupcake
18) Place a clock from the inventory
19) Open simtracker
20) Call a sim over
21) Switch sim selection (tap sim without plumbob and swap selection)
22) Be funny to a sim - 10 seconds
23) Build the park - 4 minutes (S500, 2 sims requirement)
That's all with the tutorial quest!
Next quest unlocked at level 6: Bread Winner

A Dance to Remember - Level 9 - unlocks the salsa dancing and breakdancing hobby (click on the dancers in the park next to the thinking man to start the quest)
Vacationers Guide to the Outdoors - Level 11 - unlocks the campgrounds area (build the campgrounds to start the quest)
Nanny Knows Best - Level 11 - unlocks the Musical Expression hobby and infant interactions (click on Nanny Williams in the park to start the quest)
The Sunset Mall - Level 12 - unlocks the mall shops, catwalk modelling and bowling hobby (build the mall to start the quest)
Royal Lineage - Level 14 - unlocks the castle areas, the archery and jester hobby, kings, queens, princes and princesses clothing and decrees (build the castle to start the quest)

The Sims Freeplay - Hobbies - Storyteller
Just another post about hobbies. Today, this is a post about the new hobby that has appeared in the new Great Outdoor Update, the Storyteller hobby!
Who can be a storyteller?
Teens, Adults and Seniors
Where can you storytell?
At the campgrounds
How do you get your sims to storytell?
Bring one sim to the campgrounds and tap on the Storyteller's Chair.
How do we unlock the Storyteller hobby?
Firstly you need to complete the Vacationers Guide to the Outdoors
quest and the Survivalist Hobby, before building the suspension bridge and clearing the trash in that area.
What are the storyteller options?
Tell a Comedy Story - 3 Hrs 30 Mins
Tell a Romance Story - 4 Hrs 30 Mins
Tell an Action Story - 5 Hrs 30 Mins
Tell a Scary Story - 6 Hrs 30 Mins
What are the Storyteller levels?
I will add them in very soon so look out for the post soon!
Romantic Stories - Boy Meets Girl, Happily Ever After & Romantic Tragedy
Action Stories - Kung-Fu, Sci-Fi & Superhero
Scary Stories - Zombie Story, Monster Story & Ghost Story
The first time you do this hobby you will only unlock the comedy story option. Only after you complete 1 row, you will unlock romantic story option, after another completed row and you will unlock Action story option, and so on.
Is there a time limit for this hobby?
Yes, you have 7 days to complete the storyteller hobby to unlock the campfire which costs $20000. You still unlock the canoe, deer meadow and tents if you do not complete the hobby in time.
What if I can't find a story?
You can use the spin to unlock stories, but they cost Lps so do not use the spin very often.
I want to do the hobby a second time, how do I do it?
You can click 'start a collection' at the top of the list. Subsequent times when you do the hobby you get 3 Lps.
